Here throughout my pregnancy I was contacted by Pink Blush to collaborate! It was so exciting and I’m so grateful for the experience to review their maternity clothes. They allowed me three sets for each trimester. Let me tell you, it was so hard to decide, they had so much to offer! I’m not even kidding, and it’s not just cute maternity (which is hard to find) they also have women’s, shoes, and accessories.
Now I had never heard of Pink blush before they had found me through Instagram, and I’m not just saying this because it’s what they would want to hear but I was and still am so impressed by them. Before when I thought of maternity clothes I thought of “mom” clothes, the ugly not stylish kinda stuff. Let’s be honest I’m way too young for all that I’m only 22. Now they have completely changed my mind and out look for maternity I’m not ashamed to be wearing ‘maternity’ clothes.
Pink Blush also was so generous to have allowed me to host a giveaway! It ends on May 25th. If your interested you can check it out I’ll put the link to video that has all the rules listed. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about this company they are truly one of my new favorites places to shop!
I highly highly recommend you check them out if you have never heard of them! Here is just a little of what they have to offer!!
I’m not gonna lie I’ve have been dying to have a ‘MAMA BEAR’ shirt for awhile! When I was around 4-5 months pregnant I walked into Motherhood Maternity and just happened to see the last two matching set of Mama Bear and Baby bear shirts, unfortunately they were not in my size. Ever since then I made it my mission to try to find one. Being the inpatient person that I am I got tired of searching and searching to not find anything, so I got tired waiting and I’ve decided to make my own. As you can see I got a little carried away and decided to make the trio, I wanted to make one for the hubby but who am I kidding I know for a fact he would never wear it.
Interested in how I did it?
Here’s what you need:
Card stock or something else to lay under the first layer of fabric
It was super simple…
Here’s how I did it:
First take your shirt and wash it. Then lay it out with where you want the stencils. Next I placed the card stock paper in between the from and the back of shirt to make sure it didn’t bleed all the way through. I first used chalk then decided I didn’t need it so I wiped off and went to the sharpie.
Then I painted to fill in the letters and then let dry.
Finally put under the blow dryer for like 5- 7 minutes. The heat sets the acrylic paint in. Then I washed them, and they turned out like this.
Super easy right?!?
I’ll definitely be using the same method for some more Tshirts!!If you try this out, let me know how it turns out for you:)

Friends today I want to just share what has been on my mind lately. Let me start off by just saying how GREAT is it to be alive today?! We are so lucky and blessed to be alive! Now don’t let me scare you into thinking I’m some weird Jesus freak , because I struggle all the time trying to keep God first in my life. It’s all the distractions that are around that get to me and yes I slip up all the time, but with that being said I do try my hardest to be the best I can be in my faith. Though I love God and I love talking about him, but there is still so much I’m learning, I’m still a baby christian. I don’t know as much as I should or as much as I wish I did.
So let me get to what I’m trying to say or you’ll be stuck reading my rambling , bare with me as I’m trying to explain and organize my thoughts. Still working on expressing myself, but it’s just been on my heart that I could be doing more for people or to encourage people. Of course everyone loves to have a compliment but I feel like the ones that catch you off guard leave a lasting impression and make you feel the best.
We all could bless each other a little more. God wants us to be showing grace and loving on other people. When we’re loving through the pain, we’re loving through the heart and its purifying us. Don’t just be offering in the good times but in the tough times too. Yeah, it may not always be convenient for you but it’s going to make you feel better as well as come back to you later. God always sees what your doing and he’ll bless you for that.
I’ve been told to not rob someone of their blessing. Honestly I never really thought of it that way, when someone is trying to bless you. We should let them, don’t be messing with someone else’s good will to reach out and do something nice.
God loves us, though its way deeper then that. It’s a forever love, there is nothing that can change that. So imagine if we showed that love to others, cause everyone’s human we all have made and continue to make mistakes. We shouldn’t be jumping to conclusions to judge people, that’s not our job and quiet frankly it doesn’t matter. You know?
I’m just thinking out loud on somethings that were brought up in a Wednesday bible study class. It really had me thinking and two weeks later it’s still just as fresh, making an imprint on me. There’s way more to it just wanted to touch on the main points of what was on my mind. Here’s a couple verses that went with it that really hit home for me.
1 Peter 1:22
“Now that you have purified yourselves by obeying the truth so that you have sincere love for each other, love one another deeply, from the heart.”
“Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.”
As everyone already knows yesterday was Mother’s Day. I was kind of curious to do a little bit of research since, I myself am a mother. Though there’s really not to much too it. Mother’s Day has been around since the 19th century. It was created by a woman named Anna Jarvis who heard her mothers prayer to have a day were mothers were appreciated. Basically when her mother died she pushed hard to create the holiday , it was ment to honor mothers in church were people would wear carnations. Red or pink for living moms and white for passed mothers. Once greeting cards got in on the action making Mothers Day cards she was enraged and tried to have the new holiday abolished. She spent the rest of her life fighting the holiday and never had any children of her own.
Mother’s Day celebrates motherhood and a time to appreciate mothers and mother figures. Any woman can have kids but it takes a strong, loving woman to be able to raise a child as I’m learning. It’s a full time job in itself, some days are good and some are bad but there are no breaks. Though it’s tough, being a mother is such a beautiful rewarding job too and it’s such a huge blessing to even get the title. I pray for all the women who have the nerve to have children and abandon them, not only are they messed up in the head, they are also missing out on the joys that are worth every second of being a ‘Mother’.
All in all I hope everyone had a wonderful Morher’s Day with loved ones! Mine was extra special since it fell on my first wedding anniversary! My husband came home with a balloon and card and took us on a short trip to go ride the Polaris. Now that’s another story for another time😉. Always an adventure over here.
I was moved the other day and still been thinking a lot about it lately, figured I’d share. Isn’t it funny the timing of things. Somethings are perfect the way they play out, then other things that may go wrong but really are just in the works. Or how a third party may nothing about you or your situation, giving you positive praise of encouragement all of a sudden out of the blue.
So here’s basically what happened. Being 32 weeks pregnant and hormonal I’m extra sensitive , so when this lady came up to me with the simple words that came out of her mouth really cut deep at the moment. I had a somewhat deeper conversation with my husband a little earlier that day, and she just threw me right back to it. Speaking encouragement, by just letting me know I was gonna be okay. She hadn’t known what I was going through at that moment or anything I had said earlier , but right then it’s like I felt the comforting warmth in her words. I knew for a fact that was Gods doing, and couldn’t help but be swept up with relief, joy and be a little overwhelmed.
I truely believe that God knows exactly what he is doing, when he puts certain people in your life at the right times. Those people are put there to pour life into you, to just give you encouragement and bless you when you really need it. Not knowing who those people are or when they’ll show up, God knows when you need them the most and sends them your way.
I thought I would share with you one of my new favorite outfits. It was perfect for a day out on the boardwalk in Shreveport , on a gorgeous spring day in May!
I have to say this floral tunic has got to be one of the most adorable ones I have ever laid eyes on! You can wear as a dress or long shirt with leggings or jeans, either way it’s still super adorable. Another plus to this specific tunic is it can be worn during pergnancy or after. It’s super lightweight, breathable fabric is made of cotton and polyester.
So wether or not your having brunch or just out and about during the day it’s perfect. As you can see for yourself how stunning it was on. Hope your Sunday was as lovely as mine, stay well!
