Can Shampoo Really CHANGE Your Hair?

loreal-paris-extraordinary-oil-nourished-feat-doutzen-kroes-large-10Happy Monday,

I just wanted to share my thoughts with you on my experience with using the L’Oreal Extraordinary Oil line of shampoo, conditioner, and serum. I did recieved these complimentry to try from Influenster. The L’Oreal shampoo says in has 6 oils, as well as claims it can transform your dry lifeless hair to soft lustrous locks in just one wash. Have you also taken the challenge?

I’ve been using for several months now and personally just now starting to see a difference in my hair. I almost feel like if my hair hadn’t been as damaged as it was when i started using it, then I might have had more shiny softer hair results. Though I have bleached hair I didn’t seem to see my results as fast. Not to mention when your using the oil serum, most times it is suggested to use a small dime sized amount. Hahaha no that is not the case for my hair, I put some serious amount of oil in when its slightly damp and it doesn’t get that oily nasty look to it. Though this is only because how damanged and dry my hair really is.

Although I may have gotten later results rather then sooner, I still really have liked these products. As well as seen a difference in how my hair feels. Not only did it deliever with the softness, but the shine too. I might add that these products also smell amazing! So in my conclusion , would I use these again? Yes! Would I recommend this to other people? Yet again yes! Did I see results after one wash? Lol , definatley not. So this is just my opinons and thoughts on them , now its up to you to answer,

Can a shampoo really Change your hair?

Let me know your thoughts, and if you have or will try the L’Oreal Extraordinary Oil line.

Forever scarred because of bad Photographers?

  Hey friends!

This has been on my mind a lot lately with considering a new photographer for my maternity pictures. Especially since I want these to be perfect, and I’m SUPER PICKY! I’ve always been the DIY type of person, the one who doesn’t like to ask for any help. With anything! Like let me do my thing, but sometimes you can’t do it all…and the first time getting an actual ‘photographer’ was for my wedding. Sounds like a huge shock huh?! Haha no.

It’s a huge deal! And let me let you in on a little secret, please learn from my mistake!!! For all you out there who may be engaged or just for in the future. Listen very carefully! DO NOT GO FOR THE BEST DEAL! If they are a good price, BEWARE! I don’t care if they good shots in their portfolio. That doesn’t mean they are going to take as much pride in their work for what ever the event in your life that is so important to you.

The first gut feeling you get that’s bad, go with it! Two months before my wedding my photographer got real shady. Wouldn’t answer either phones or email or text or instant messanger. First red flag! When I finally got ahold of her, she had a family emergency. Second red flag! She lost her mojo, her passion, everything. I get it was hard times, but even in my contract (that she couldn’t ever even seem to get to me) was stated that for any reason could not take me she should get another photographer. With her situation, she failed to honor just that, mentality she was not really there you could say. For that I don’t have any beautiful , high def quality pictures.

Nothing, not good pictures of the bridesmaids and myself or my family. None of why she got to me Would I ever hang up, not to mention the shots I specially asked for never got(I did have to bug her about some of them and they were terrible angles, plus never got the release to them). She gave me the raw unedited pictures 2 months later. Anyways let me get off that rant, just brings back anger, regret, and makes me upset.

My point is really do your research, even though I looked for a good month for a photographer, I went with the best deal I could find. That was probably the worst thing I could have done. But you live and you learn right?! Sometimes you have to learn the hard way. But still brings me to … Will I forever be scarred from this photographer? Yes, unfortunately I think so. This is still fresh hurt, even after a year, and not to mention that was my WEDDING the one day you want perfect! I can’t get any of that back..

Anyone have and tips or advice to finding a good photographer let me know! I’d love to know how you choose your photographer!

DIY: Twine ball

Hey Friends,

Here’s another simple, fast DIY to try. I’m sure you have seen these before and I know other people use other supplies such as fabric stiffener, Modge Podge, or whatever. This is just how I did mine and they seem to be pretty sturdy.

So here’s what you need:

  • Twine
  • Glue ( I used Elmers , multi purpose)
  • Balloons

  1.    Blow up your balloon(s)
  2.    Twine balloon(s)
  3.    Glue all over real heavy, I did a couple coats.
  4.     Wait till it’s completely dry
  5.     Pop and pull out balloon
  6.     Remove excuses glue spots on twine balls

    Your finished!!
Here’s  what the finished product looks like.

30 weeks update

I’m 30 weeks down , 10 more to go! Whoo! We now have the baby shower and first two trimesters out of the way. I’ve done the much dreaded glucose test and registered at my hospital of choice today!!Now I need to really get on the ball to figure out what all I need to get before baby Brinson gets here. I also need to do maternity pictures and pack my hospital bag.

How I’m feeling? Well alittle uncomfortable and round, I may be starting to waddle some. I honestly am not doing much sleeping and making regular trips to the bathroom. But other then all that GREAT!

Do I have any cravings? Some, I seem to have a sweet tooth for cake and chocolate with orange juice! Let me tell you don’t knock out the chocolate and OJ till you try it, seriously good! Though I feel as if my body is starting to really crave more fruits and healthy foods too. I find myself wanting more water along with fruits.

Movements? YAASSS!! I’m talking like all day and all night hard kick where I can’t sleep!i thought my first one was active, oh boy was I wrong. This one I’m not worried about him not moving but if there is too much movement?!

Second child shower/ reveal

Okay I’m not gonna lie I was so stressed out at first, then it was one thing after another that was starting to go wrong. But I quickly realized none of that mattered. I was determined to have an amazing shower, I was just gonna go with the flow and make the most out of it all. Believe it or not everything changed after that!

Everyone really helped out but my sister in law was the one who pulled everything together. I can’t even describe to you how incredible of an event planner she is. I’m just so thankful for her and her hard work! It was the beautiful, simple, neutral shower I had invisioned!

You know it doesn’t always have to be some big extravagant thing. This one was small and simple and everything turned out perfect. Just matters who’s there to celebrate these exciting new times to help welcome the newest member to our family. Those are the memories I think that are ultimately going to stick.

Here are some pictures of the beautiful event❤️

Twig letter Pinterest DIY

If your anything like me and like to do things yourself, you’ll enjoy this. I love the rustic look and I love nature so it was right up my alley. I thought this would be a perfect decor piece at my baby shower , since it was doing a completely neutral themed baby shower. This was a obvious diy that was super easy to do, not to mention it only took like 30 minutes.
So here is what you need:

  • Card board
  • Twigs
  • Hot glue
  • Hot glue gun
  • Modge Podge (optional)

Yep that’s it.
First I took the top to a shoe box and cut out the letter B.

Then I laid out the twigs where I wanted the to be and glued them down. It was as simple as that. I did give it two layers of twigs to cover all the cardboard.

Then I decided to give it a couple coats of Modge Podge to give it a little bit of a shine, but that it completely optional!
Here is how it turned out when I set it out at my baby shower! Hope that was easy enough.

Till next time

Stay at home pregnant momma to a toddler thoughts..

I’m just gonna come out and say it. It’s not easy, but I wouldn’t trade it for the world. There is no way to sugar coat it or even fully explain it to a woman who hasn’t yet experienced it for herself, with her own child. I love every second of the tantrums, the melt downs, the attitude. In that moment yes it’s difficult the as his world is ending. I love the after math though, after the storm has passed.

Once he calms down and all of a sudden turns into the sweet, caring , helpful boy that gets over looked. It’s like he knows he acted a fool and wants nothing more then the love and security that can provided in a big bear hug snuggle.

I completely understand why it all happens, the frustration he feels from the lack of his communication/language skills. Come on he’s only two, I can’t just get too mad at him… He hasn’t been on this earth long , still so much learning and growing to do.

I’m learning that being a parent has some of the most rewarding moments! I know I’m still new the the life of parenthood but it’s is beautiful at every stage. Still trying to imagine what two kids will be like… Haha but it’ll  be here before I know it!

Don’t Blinque without a wink

For all the girls who enjoy lashes this one is for you. So a couple months I discovered this lash company called Blinque Eyelashes. Now I’m a little obsessed!

This is only just a little bit of my stash. These are just some of my ‘go-to’ / ‘everyday’ favs.

These lashes come in a very wide variety of styles. They are so light weight and have great flexibility. I wear these quite a bit, they add just the right amount of length and volume . I say quite a bit because I don’t wear lashes everyday but around 3-5 times a week.

To be honest I actually like them more then my House of lashes, lashes. Now My favorite the wispy ones (#wsp) but that’s with any brand I go with , they just got with everything. I really don’t ever see that changing .

I highly recommend trying these lashes out! Very affordable and really good quality to be a drug store lash. In store price was $2.99 but when I looked at their website they started at $3.99 I believe. Blinque Eyelashes

I have more pictures listed on my makeup Instagram if you would like to check them out @dolled_up_diamond

But here’s a few for now😘

Dress for less

What woman doesn’t love to find the perfect out for a great deal?! Id be willing to bet you couldn’t name one.

I love finding a steal or good deal, now don’t get me wrong, I do believe in you get what you pay for. But that doesn’t mean you have to break the bank, matter a fact I get a high when I find a good deal. Well at least what I think a high would be.. Strange I know, I just get so excited i just don’t know how to handle myself and my body just gets all tingly, and some time I get shortness of breath. Lol but that’s just me.

So what I’m getting at is that one day I was just looking around at Ross, which I might add is one of my favorite places to shop, and came across this adorable off white sundress with a crochet top and lace trim! And get this I am pregnant and I’m pretty sure it’s gonna get me through the rest of my pregnancy if not all the way through. I’m always looking for something I can wear while pregnant and not. As well as not look like a ‘Mom’ if you know what I mean. All that was just a plus what made it even better was that it was only $10!!

Cant beat that! I always know I can count on Ross to dress for less and still be in style on a budget!;) I would rather not be spending big bucks on clothes and especially maternity clothes!!
